Limitations

Info could be out of date. Check current T&Cs of any card that’s presented. PM should not be used to calculate cashback.

Point values, fees, or “effective fees” due to credits are not considered. The calculation is strictly maximizing points, you can use filters to optimize fees. I would argue Cap1/Chase/Amex/Bilt/Citi have similar point values while WF is slightly less.

Calculation is based on ~19 personal travel cards that earn transferable points. Bank of America / US Bank don’t have such cards and not covered.

In rare cases cashback cards such as Freedom Unlimited or Savor could be your top card, you would need to pair it with its travel companion: Sapphire or Venture respectively to convert cashback to travel points.

Only currently available cards are used. Chase Freedom Flex and Citi Custom Cash are excluded. They have low spend limits, rotating categories, or can be used in 1 category only. Both are usually best as 3rd card. Strata Elite dining is always 3x.

Calculator does not account for category spend limits of AMEX Gold / Bilt. Gold earns 4x on first $50k/$25k restaurant/grocery spend, 1x after. (If your spend is above that, get 2nd Gold card or switch to Savor / Strata Premier). Bilt card has a $100k rent limit.
